Terms, Disclaimer and How a Call Works

Dial a number on this site and the call is answered, your ZIP and fault are noted, and you are put through to a licensed plumbing company that works your area. The person discussing timing and price with you is therefore the company that would do the job.

Because that company is independently owned and run, it decides its own rates, availability, warranties and conditions. Whatever is agreed on the call is between you and that company. This site does not carry out plumbing work.

Each cost figure is a typical range for the Austin area, put together from public sources and sanity-checked against current conditions. They are information, not offers. A real price turns on heater size, fuel, where it sits in the house, access, permit costs and whatever turns up once the old unit is out.

Ask for the price, the scope and the warranty in writing before agreeing to anything, and ask whether the permit is included.

The guides describe how water heaters tend to fail and how codes tend to work around Austin. They are not engineering, legal or insurance advice. Gas and electrical work can be dangerous; if you smell gas, leave the building and ring your gas utility from outside.

Codes and incentives move. Where a page mentions a tax credit, utility rebate, permit fee or code edition, check it with the body that issues it before you rely on it.

Reading and printing pages for personal use is fine. Copying large portions of the text, or passing this content off as your own, is not allowed. Outbound links are for convenience only and are not endorsements.

The site is offered as it is, and liability for loss caused by relying on it is limited as far as Texas law permits. These terms may be revised; the version on this page is the one that applies.
